Hyderabad news: The Telugu actor Allu Arjun on Tuesday stood before the Hyderabad police for the death of a woman in the Sandhya Theatre stampede showing of Pushpa 2. The actor had been called by the police days after he’d been released on bail in the case.
The stampede occurred when one of the biggest Bollywood actors of the country Allu Arjun is alleged to have been unannounced outside a cinema in Hyderabad on December 4. He denied being involved in the terrible crime.
He was asked by the Hyderabad police investigation today if Allu Arjun knew that the officials had turned him down for appearing outside the theatre during the release of Pushpa 2.
They asked him for the name of the person who placed the call to execute the plan against the denial of police permission, said NDTV.
They also asked him when did they tell him that the woman had died in the stampede.
He was also asked by the police if the management of Sandhya Theatre told him not to come on stage during the show, India Today said.
They asked him too how many bouncers he provided for the event.
The Chikkadpally police released Allu Arjun from the custody following interrogation. The police filed a case against Mythri Movie Makers his security personnel and theatre management under various sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) at the Chikkadpally police station.
"Sanadhya theatre owners have asked on 2 December to make arrangements for Pushpa 2 actors and crew members to come for the premiere at Sandhya Theatre on 4 December," said Reddy. "But on December 3, the Chikkadpally Circle Inspector refused to give in writing because the theatre is situated in crowded place with just one entry and exit point so safety cannot be guaranteed. That said, the actor came and stood on his roof and he did a roadshow which made things worse," Reddy said.
